It's puzzling me. Does anyone know if there's a particular meaning to the butterflies that rained down at the end of the show? Why butterflies?

not sure butterflies represent freedom so that is why my friend got a tat of one...some maybe that is why esp during lovers in japan...freedom to love who ever be what ever that is my take

Also, it might just be me but it reminds me a bit of origami. Obviously it's not folded paper because that would be impossible, but it's also not just random strips of paper. I don't know, I think that because it falls during lover in japan and because they bothered enough to give it a distinct shape, I just associate it with origami....
