A temp agency, hmm ive never thought about that! Ya ive heard of a few of them, I should check them out! How long did you have to wait before you got a job?

Through the temp? Not long. But i got lucky, 'cause the very first company i worked for, they needed someone for a while, not just a few weeks, so I was there like 3months.

 

Usually temp agencies will hook you up with places that need some help for a few weeks at a time...then you move on to the next place they find for you...unless that company is hiring through a temp w/ an option to keep you if they need permanent help.

 

And if you're looking through Monster or HotJobs or one of those(at least the last time I looked, which was a few yrs ago)most of the jobs listed are through agencies. Especially for office/administrative type things. The thing that sucks it's that they don't pay as much as if you were working directly for that company, but it's better than nothing!(and maybe better than smelling like burgers at the end of the day!:P)

I think before I started working as an assistant at my dad company they had hired a girl who was from a temp agency. I could probably ask them too!

it's worth a shot! and even as bad as economy is, i'm suuure that there's gotta be something out there! especially entry level stuff, since ppl getting fired who've been working for yrs are not gonna wanna go back to beginning, you know. (crossing fingers&toes&eyes for you!)

I am really tired from the skiing tonight.... I know I'm going to sleep really well! :lol: But other than my sore legs I'm doing just fine! :)

I am so excited for it! We didn't even know about it until yesterday, and then my friend and I ordered tickets right away! So it was a very last-minute kind of thing, but it's going to be so great! :dance:

I don't know anything about football... I had to have someone tell me yesterday which teams were playing in the Superbowl! :lol:

Don't know if you've ever heard of it, but last year some of my friends and I discovered the Puppybowl on Animal Planet-- it's on at the same time as the Superbowl and basically it's bunch of puppies running around in a mini-football field and it's pretty much the cutest thing I've ever seen! :nice:

 

Soo.... yeah... we're having a puppybowl party! :lol:
