Coldplay don't stop writing so it's not a case of if they're working on material for the next album, it's more a case of whether any will still be around by then. Also, rumours are always rife about when an album's coming but it won't be next year, though we can't say when. Equally it will be what it will be, there's no plan of its musical direction.

It took them over 3 years to write Viva La Vida, there was no way they'd manage to write another in a few months.

well obviously it's hardly possible with their perfectionism... they'll be touring well into 2009 so when whould they get time to record?

me too. cause that'll be a hold off till the album, which might not come out till mid 2010 or something. :(

I reckon they might knock out a November 2010 release at this stage.
