  1. Happy birthday buddy! :)

Chris staying up til 5am and working is a ridiculous thing to worry about/over analyze. I'm sure he does it a lot. And he can sleep until the afternoon if he really wants, it's a weekend and they have no festival dates on for a week. Lack of sleep/passing out is a serious problem and not something to take lightly. You should probably see a doctor and get it sorted instead of thinking "oh cool, my lack of sleep means me and Chris have something in common!". Get your priorities straight.
  3. :bigcry: that you weren't there! Though of course I include the dinner beforehand in the meeting lovely people part :P :D.
  4. Couldn't bring myself to waste my 5,000th post in some crap thread :P - started thinking about all the wonderful people I met at this gig, many of whom have turned out to be real life friends. Can't believe it has been almost 2 years now?! Incredible how time flies. Good memories. The fun in the queue, the stupidly high bass of White Lies :laugh4:, getting a bit of a tan in Manchester, leaving my passport in the hotel and having Mrs. Coldplaying pick it up for me. I'd like to think that yellow ball is still out there... somewhere :P. <3 ya Coldplaying! :vuvuzela:
  5. It fits the song very well, the glow in the dark stuff is cool, but it is a bit *too* colourful and crazy for me, especially with all the dropped frames and stop-motion photography.
  6. The crowd are absolutely nuts! Bet it is a truly awesome atmosphere there!
  7. This page includes a video player, it is playing ads and CP music videos at the moment. http://www.aftonbladet.se/nojesbladet/musik/rockbjornen2011/article13239194.ab I'm sure it'll probably be on here once it starts.
  8. Fantastic episode so far. Loved Hammond in South Africa haha. That beast was unbelievable! Also, I want that 1M. In orange. Yes please.
  9. Cancel the pre-order and then go buy it. If memory serves me correctly you aren't charged until the pre-order physically starts downloading.
  10. Gave it a big fat 0! *runs*
  11. I actually quite like the studio version a lot more :speechless:
  12. Not only was it their best Glasto in my opinion, but one of their best live performances ever. A truly fantastic setlist of old and new, a flawless execution, and a happiness and energy that was awesome. They were just on top of their game from start to finish.
  13. Oooh nice theory, especially as 10th of October is a Monday :o.
  14. So I'll add my two cents into the review mix, but not much to add. I got there a little bit early and was waiting outside. Matt McGinn parked his car down the street and started lugging guitars and stuff up towards the pub. I had absolutely no idea who he was, even though I've got his book (shame), but I'm not a super hardcore fan and I don't really know about all the staff and roadies! He came up to me (thinking I was security) and asked if this was the entrance, which I replied yes, and if Lou was inside, which I replied I don't work here! :laugh2: On reflection I should have offered to help him get stuff into the gig, but he looked like a man on a mission and I didn't want to get in any of the "pros" way! After too many mineral waters (I had the same tipple as Simon Pegg :P), I had to use the loo which was through a narrow corridor. On the way out Chris and Matt were talking in the doorway about guitars, and Chris was holding the door open. Quite surreal! So I squeezed past back for the main act. They were really lively and fun even though the power kept cutting out, haha. After another visit to the loo I passed Matt carrying a guitar to Chris, and because of the tight space to get through my hand brushed against it, which was quite an honour! haha :P. I'm sure you fangirls would have been more excited than I was though! :p After the first band and Chris performed we went over to say goodbye to Matt. I said we were fans and it was coincidence we were here (well it was for me, Mich was the one who had a hunch :p). He recognised me from earlier, and I said I didn't realise who he was, to which he said "Why would you? I'm just another fucking roadie!" - I laughed (I hope I was supposed to laugh?! :| haha). Anyways we said goodbye to him and also to Simon Pegg, and then Matt tapped us on the shoulder and said here take these, and he gave us Chris' picks, which was so lovely of him. As Mich said they have velcro on so they are more comfortable to hold (smart idea!). A thoroughly lovely shindig, and it was so nice for Chris to do it, and you could tell the place meant a lot to him and Simon; it was a lovely send off for John. :)
  15. Unfortunately have had to pull out  currently traveling overseas and I just couldn't justify coming back for this. Hope you all have a blast :D.
