MrsSeverusSnape
SOOOOOOOOOOO...i am a HUGE Dan Brown's fan, and this is without a doubt my favorite book ever, everything about it is perfect, and it's all passed in my favorite city of the entire world, Roma! Anyway, i heard the movie will be out in 2009, is it true? Are there any other fans here? What do u think about the book? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0808151/ Some images about the book: These are called ambigrams, u can read it upside down:) And if you want to learn more about ambigrams check out the site of the guy who made the ones for the book http://www.johnlangdon.net/angelsanddemons.html
iPsy
It is a BRILLIANT Book! :D, can't wait till the film!
indanomati
Think you should put those ambigrams into a spoiler or smth to not ruin things for others who haven't read it yet. :) And yes, I do like this book quite a bit. All the scientific aspects of it that were the most exciting for me. The bomb for example! Wooh! And it seems the movie will be released on 15th May! Which is four days earlier from DVC's relase date!! (DVC was released on 19th May :P) I have to admit, I was a bit too obsessed with it, DVC that is! :D And I happen to like it a lot more than Angels & Demons. I've come to read DVC before A&D which could be one of the reasons for preferring it more. And also, I didn't like A&D's ending that much. It was a little disappointing, if you ask me. :-/ The adventure as a whole was brilliant, nevertheless! Hope the movie turns out to be a success! And seems like the actress who plays Vittoria is very suiting for the role. Hope she does a great job at it.
MrsSeverusSnape
I've read all Dan's books, and of course i liked DVC, but imo it doesn't compare to A&D, i cant explain why, but the whole story is much more...i dunno, entertaining, and i learnt A LOT with the book. Indeed there is one thing that pisses me off, people still saying that Illuminati is a satanic group, when that isnt true at all. I studied the Illuminati last year at Arts and the 1st members were only men of science! Galileu was a good man that only wanted to show that science can show you evidences of lots of things, and the Church killed him for saying that truth! P.S. i can't make spoilers :(
MrsSeverusSnape
Oh and i think Tom Hanks isn't good for the role of Robert Langdon, c'mon, the guy seems to be hot by what Dan Brown describes!
indanomati
I got to learn a lot of things along with DVC as well. I just didn't leave anything hanging. I searched and searched and read until I knew every aspect by heart hehe. Crazy time! :D And that was the case with A&D too, though it was more with DVC. Oh and which comes as a fave for you after these two? I haven't read anything else by Dan Brown. Here's the code for the spoiler:  [/spoiler ]
indanomati
Oh and i think Tom Hanks isn't good for the role of Robert Langdon, c'mon, the guy seems to be hot by what Dan Brown describes! Oh I have to disagree with that. I think he looks hot with that haircut! :D I just love him. :nice: Though he didn't very well in the acting in DVC. Really hope he does better in A&D! Deception Point Aaaaaand i'm so looking forward to The Solomon Key  Aww i loved the fact that Mickey Mouse is a hero in A&D

indanomati
Ohhh Solomon Key, yes!! Wonder how is that going to turn out! I remember playing an online DVC game that you could answer using the book's cover and its hidden codes! It was supposed to reveal stuff from The Solomon Key. So cool, that was!

politikswingg
Dan Brown is a genius. I can't wait till the movie comes out in May. It's going to be good for sure. No doubt about that. I heard though a few months back they wouldn't make them film in some of the churches.

indanomati
Not a very good work of fiction in my leather bound notebook Would say that myself now. It's not the best fiction novel out there, I know, but it's still very enjoyable and exciting to read. And my credit goes to Dan Brown's novels for getting me to learn many things about brotherhoods, symbols, along with some scientific knowledge. Plus I just don't think anyone would get bored reading this or DVC or at least I think so!

Starlight
Oh and i think Tom Hanks isn't good for the role of Robert Langdon, c'mon, the guy seems to be hot by what Dan Brown describes! Agreed. Maybe not so much the 'hotness' factor, but I envisioned Langdon to be a younger guy. Like mid-30s. I quite enjoy Dan Brown's novels, it's interesting in that it can teach you so much, as you guys have mentioned. The Knights Templar and the Iluminati and all that..I certainly would have no idea about it if I had not read these books. I guess it's the 'controversy' factor that keeps it under wraps. Anyways, I love the whole riddle/mystery factor of the books. I'm a sucker for any kind of riddles, let alone HISTORY riddles, and I must say I'm a huge Euro History dork. :P I went on an online DVC scavenger hunt a couple of years ago... It was quite fun! Really hard, but I got some help.... Regarding the A&D movie: I heard that the production of this was REALLY slowed down because of last year's writer's strike, so I wouldn't know when the movie comes out. The book was very good, though I can't ever compare it with DVC. It's like both novels are different.....but yet similar. The factors of church and history I guess make it similar to me. It's hard for me to compare both. Though I will say the twisted ending of A&D was......disturbing. :inquisitive: It irked me a lot, but nonetheless I still really liked it. heyyyohhh
Ok I'm getting my plots all mixed up right now, but I do remember loving Angels & Demons. Read it after TDVC, which I really liked, but Angels & Demons I liked a lot more.

If i'm not mistaken, Robert Langdon was in the 40's already... But that twisted ending is the soul of the book in my opinion, early you start thinking that maybe Kohler is behind everything and bla bla bla, and the minute Langdon puts the tape playing for the cardinals you go like :shocked2::o as you read what really happened in the Pope's office. Hehe I have a knack for going against the author's descriptions and having my own vision of characters. I know, I'm stubborn. :P The Langdon I envisioned looked like a teacher that used to teacher at my middle school. And he looks nothing like the Langdon described in the book, but I still went along with it. But yeah, I know that Langdon's an older man, I just didn't see him that way. Square 4
I thought The da Vinci Code was a brilliant book, but that was before I read Angels & Deamons. It is such an interesting and complete book, it has everything a good book should have. Especially interesting is this about CERN and LHC (Large Hadron Collider). I've heard so much about CERN`s experiment i the news. I'm nervous about the decision. A small thing about the A&D movie: I think it's coming in May 09.
