Why does Lost! sound different Live?

Featured Replies

Didnt know where to put this.Someone can put it somewhere else if they want. But I was wondering why the beat to Lost! sounds a little different live than the studio version.Maybe it is the same i dont know.It sounds a little different to me.I love the live version and beat.I kind of hope the version with Jay-Z will be have the live version beat and feel to it.Does anyone else think it sounds a little different live?

Something to do with the fact there is two drummers? I don't know how they did it in the studio. Maybe Shane Warne knows?

maybe you should ask the oracle

When it's played live the actual beat is played as a backing track. Guy plays that big bass drum, but he isn't sticking to the conventional bass drum pattern on the track, he's adding a few extra hits here and there, and Will plays on his middle tom to make it look like he's doing something, even though I don't think there's any tom in the actual recording of it.

uh I dont know but it's much better live... besides Johnny plays something in the verses while on the album version he doesnt

If this isn't exactly right it's pretty darn close.
