NaNoWriMo

Featured Replies

With November approaching in a couple of days, I was just wondering if any of you on here are doing NaNoWriMo this year? Or have participated in the past? I've been wanting to do it for a couple of years now but haven't been bold enough to jump in the craziness that is writing 50,000 word novel in a month.

For those who have done it, any tips? Did you get to 50,000 words? What did you write about?

I did it last year and got something to 2,700 :laugh3: quite pathetic really but I did join midway so... I'm not so sure I'd be doing something similar again XD

What do you know, I'm doing this again 8D

I've never heard of this before. Just had a look at the website - what a cool idea!

Signed up a couple of days late and worked out I need to do 1800 a day to hit the target.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggghhh!

Coldplaying gets me in to the craziest things

So? I managed 2,845 today, although that was because I was at a write-in with other people from Melbourne. Now at a healthy 7,953.

Although it takes ages because I average a sucky 500 words per hour, but that seems to be somewhat average for our area

Well done!

I didn't mention that I worked out I need to do 1800 per day after doing just 542 in my opening sitting :( It's been a loooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnngggg time since I did any writing.
