I'm not saying all this just to complain, I just wanted to let you all know why I might seem bummed for a while.

On Sunday, my two bandmates (drummer and bassist) got into a huge fight over food. Yes, food. They actually got into a fistfight (which I had to break up) and my bassist's parents got involved so now we can no longer play at his house. Also my drummer's parents and my parents won't accept fighting, so we can't have any practices anywhere, and we're supposed to play a live show in a month.

So over the course of the week there has been more fighting, and our band is pretty much done now, so close to finally playing a show, and we're done because my bandmates fought over food.

On Wednesday, I found out my best friend for 16 years got suspended from school for 10 days (I won't say what for). But it was a stupid reason that he shouldn't have done, and now I've been depressed all week thinking about it and feeling lousy.

On Thursday I found out I'm going to have a grade of C+ in my Chemistry class, and because of a stupid, unorthodox and lame test that caused me to fail at a subject I'm pretty good at. There's no way to make it up, and now I can't tell universities that I maintained all A's and B's, and I'm in my Junior year, so I'll be talking to colleges really soon!

And today (Friday) I missed the school bus in the morning and couldn't get to school, so I got my first unexcused absence of the year, and I was going to try for perfect attendance. That's not gonna happen now.

Finally, I had one great thing to look forward to all week. While all the crap was going on, I looked forward to Friday, as I was supposed to go and buy a brand new guitar I've been wanting all year. But now, I hurt my playing hand drastically raking my yard yesterday, so I can't even play. I might have to get an MRI to check for permanent damage. So I can't get a guitar now, I'll just be tempted to play it and I'll hurt myself worse. And even if my hand turns out fine, I won't be able to get it for another 3 weeks because my dad is going on a business trip and I need him to help me buy it.

So, please understand if I seem a little off, and please, if you've had a better week than this, try to be thankful for it.

Sorry mate! :( I hope your life turns around! :D

My week has sucked, but you still win, I afraid. Can't really think of anything to make you feel better either. Make sure you rest your hand - if you do, it may heal quicker than you think. And try not to spend too much time dwelling on your friends mistakes. The two who were rowing need to sort it out between them, and the one who got suspended just needs to think about the consequences of whatever he did.

Have a chilled out weekend and I'm sure next week will be better for you!

:)

I'm sorry you've had a bad week Nick. :(

Don't worry about your grades though! Grades are important when you're applying to colleges, but other things like your extracurriculars, the difficulty of the classes you're taking, and interviews are just as important. Just work hard and do your best, as lame as that might sound. :)

Everything will work out, I promise.

And, to cure a bad mood, I recommend watching The Office. It works for me every time! ;)

I'm really sorry, Nick.

*hugs* I'm here for you!

I tried resting my hand last time it got hurt, and it just got re-hurt which means there might be more permanent damage. And my two mates already worked ouhyt their problems, we just can't get out families to.

But thanks a lot for the advice and I hope your week wasn't so bad.

Thanks, that's what I really need is just people to talk to since my best friend is wallowing in self-pity and my other friends are too busy fighting over food and other pointless crap. I just need someplace to go without any conflict, and this seems to be the best place for that!:)

*BIG HUG* ;)

:shocked2: The Office bores you?! Are you really human?

Hehehe... I also will admit to LOVING Gossip Girl, so we can't really take too much stock in my taste in TV shows, can we? :P

Awwwwwww well if you must watch one episode of The Office, I highly recommend 'The Injury' from season 2. :D It's so funny! Not dull at all!

I guess I don't need to tell you how much I love your sig. ;)

But yeah, I would have to say "The Dundies" never fails to put a smile on my face. That or "Office Olympics." :D

Well then you should definately get it checked out. I'm sure it'll be fine, but it'll put your mind at rest. As for your families, they probably just need a bit of time to calm down.

It's been half term for me and I've been ill for most of it - so I feel like I haven't really had a break, you know? But not to worry, this place has kept my brain active while I've been stuck in the house.

Hey - I hope you're only typing with one hand!!!
