Part i ~ What If The Storm Ends?

What if the storm ends and I don’t see you?

Presentiment thoughts amidst in my mind.

Prospects establish the need to pursue.

Where to start looking – without you I’m blind.

 

Skeletal fingers of light stroke afar

Tapping the chalkboard; thrumming the thunder.

Ink spilt in the sky; stains reside like tar

On the cold pavement I’m left to wander.

 

Relentless winds foreboding a presage;

Ominous clouds foreshadow overhead.

All I have is a ring and a message

And an impression of words left unsaid.

 

What if the storm ends and leaves us hollow

Except a memory; nothing to follow.

 

Part ii ~ Can You Hear Me?

Trapped inside a metallic shelled prison,

Drowning in the currents of liquid death.

Moonlight like the watermark had risen,

As night befell I took my final breath.

 

I transverse the tunnel into the fray.

Charcoal curtain closes despite my plea

To escape; I orienteer my way.

Scream into the shadows, “Can you hear me?”

 

Off hidden walls echoes reverberate.

Stereophonic sound of damnation.

Transparent darkness I perambulate.

Silent senses seek illumination.

 

Then at the end, a vibrant glow ablaze

Leading me somewhere safe, out of the maze.

Part iii ~ Lost?

In the middle of the waters I saw

Your halo of luminescent gold hair.

Questions and answers don’t matter anymore.

Your eyes stare back vacant; nobody is there.

 

Vehicle cloaked in variegated rust.

Face coated in coagulated blood.

Windscreen shattered; pieces scattered like dust.

Your hand statuesque; tears flow like the flood.

 

Withdrawn and alone, I yearn for your soul.

Forlorn, I atone this mortal mistake.

With unflinching quintessential control

Close my eyes now, I will never awake.

 

We are like lifeboats, passing in the night

Searching for life and love, lost in starlight.

 

That is my three part sonnet i wrote.
