Who's got Broadband?

Featured Replies

Just out of interest really. We got ours a couple of months ago and it's brill! :-D Coupled with a computer with humungous memory and speed - the world's my oyster! Just wish I had more time to use it .....

what does it entail? i know a lot of people have had problems with it, so i don't know whether it's worth getting.

me... and wouldn't go back now. Couldn't have done all the techi bits on here without it really. Toooo slow. :-)

Ian, I'm surprised - I would've thought you'd be right up there, technically .... :o

i have this thing i dont know what its called. all i did was bring my computer and a cable or wire whatever it is and plug it into the wall. the school provides the internet. :D it's fast and i havnt had any problems with it.

yeah thats how my face was when i found all that out. :D

its just like having free cable. but i dont care about the tv i never watch the thing. my remote has dust on it. and i'm afraid to touch it :P

I do! :D

And the problem is now I'm staying online much longer than I should... :? :(

that's because you get to do so much more. thats why i have so many post. :D 8)

can't you go on the net AND the phone at the same time on the same line? that's what i picked up from the advert last night anyway

yeah

That's a pity sometimes cos when you don't want anyone to ring you go on the comp instead :P

I just don't answer the phone! :D

Or when I'll say I'm on the other line on long distance... ;) Works everytime! :D

i just turn the phone off. haha i hate the phone.

 i love the phone. whenever anyone rings me i'm on for at least 2 hours chatting about nothing.

That's where broadband is useful - no tying up of phone lines, no pay per minute usage - it's just left on all the time, so I can pick up you guys from America no problem first thing in the morning!!!

I hate watching TV too, intellectually, but sometimes I catch myself just, well, WATCHING it!!! ...

 i love the phone. whenever anyone rings me i'm on for at least 2 hours chatting about nothing.

Well, half of the calls are people trying to sell me things or donate money... :? I put on a young voice and tell my parents are not home. hehe ;)

Well, anyone here would like friendly chat and give me ring! I promise I wouldn't hang up on your or pretend to have another line! :D

don't you hate it when the phone rings in the middle of a good film on tv? i unplug the damn thing before i settle down, just to make sure.
