Guitar strap Advice

Featured Replies

I'm experimenting with my new Les Paul and am finding that the standard 2" Fender straps I use on my other guitars are simply not working well for me with a guitar of this weight. Anyone have any suggestions?

you should probably get a strap lock, it will prevent the strap from coming off.

It's not so much an issue of the strap coming off as it is ending up with a huge knot in my shoulder from 10+ pounds of weight...

get new straps :D

maybe the holes on your strap is already big :P

get a strap with extra padding. they can be found almost anywhere you get straps. they provide padding to absorb the weight of the guitar, as well as making it easier on your shoulder

Thanks. I've not really paid that much attention to straps available before as my $5 nylon fender ones work just fine with my Tele's. Guess I should broaden my horizons a bit...

yep these are good ones to look at http://www.legacystraps.com/ultg.htm

anything like those. they're a little bit more expensive but it will be worth it to not have a hurt shoulder;)

best of luck

Get rid of the Les Paul and go back to Fenders!

Im kidding...well not really but, get a new strap maybe? Mine works well on most guitars.
