(copied and pasted...thats why some bits might not make sense :P) Following the rather depressing news that this year's X factor finalist will be covering Leonard Cohen's beautiful 'Hallelujah,' I think everyone should download the Jeff Buckley version, instead of buying the inevitably soulless version churned out by Simon Cowell's Crimbo flash in the pan. I doubt this will work, but if I am willing to download this version the week the X factor version comes out, I hope others will too. I have been obsessed with Buckley's Hallelujah the past week (am currently learning it on guitar) and I am getting the album "Grace" for Christmas (hopefully). More people need to hear his music, and that Hallelujah Youtube video is possibly the greatest 6 minutes of music I have seen in a long time. I still prefer Rufus' version Rufus's is extremely good as well, it's very hared to do this song badly.
