i just downloaded My Journal and it's an okay programme, though it's quite ugly...

There's some cool freeware called a diary, it comes in the old-school style book, in which you write using a pen (or pencil) your day's events. And it's handy because you can use it wherever you like without the need for electricity, and it's easier to hide.
