birthday party! ideas?

Featured Replies

i'm turning 18 on sunday and due to my laziness i haven't planned anything at all.

i don't know what to do.

it's a big deal to turn 18 in germany because it's the age of majority.

and i wonder what to do on sunday. i think it should definitely involve some alcohol. :laugh3: haha, but besides that, i do not even know who to invite because my circle of friends is pretty diversified and not everybody would get along with each other and i guess it's already too late to rent a room or something.

Dont invite anyone you aren't friends with. If you are throwing a party, make a perfect playlist of music so that all the music comes on at the right time through the night. Thats all I have.

hmm, well i'm more of a fan of quiet, simple sorts of gatherings, so i don't know how much help i'd be. in america, 16 is a bit more of a big deal than 18, so for my 16th birthday i rented a room, invited 50 people, made a 4-hour-long playlist, and ordered about 20 pizzas and it was a really great time. since alcohol is legal for you there though (i think) and you say you want to include it, that can definitely be thrown in :D. it's just not really my style.

i'm afraid i'm rather boring when it comes to parties.

can i come?

i really need to rent a room, i guess. but ordering pizzas is a good idea!

hahaha, i actually thought of a boring buffet at first, but pizzas are better anyway!

can i come?

jack!

you're my special guest then!

come on, get on a plane! hahah. that's be so crazy, yet funny.

seriously, tickets are cheap these days. :) it's not even holiday season anymore! :wink3:

You should throw a theme birthday party. Due to time constraints, it doesn't have to be a all out theme party. It could be one where you dress a particular way or your favorite character or your favorite sports team. Invite all your friends but let them know that there will be others there and that they all should get along for you since it is your birthday. If they can't do that then they shouldn't come.

How about going out to dinner? Just a nice, casual dinner with a handful of close friends. Nothing fancy, but if you want it can be a little dressier.
