Like LITii, it' just him messing around, throwing in different chod variations and melody's at random. Most of time it's still the same chords, although during the first verses he throws in a C-G-Ab after the F chord.

Any insight to this version is appreciated. I like this version a lot.

This version is AWESOME.

If anyone knows how to play the version Chris plays here please let me know....

I think I know what you are talking about and I think the chord is C/E or some form of that chord.

thks for posting this version. It's fantastic. I'd love to play this version too! the one in the book is a little boring.
