i miss coldplay
after the two recent concerts and other coldplay related happenings, I can't help but believe...coldplay is done.

i miss coldplay
While the music has certainly changed, for me it is more than that. It is about missing updates from Prospekt and Roadie #42. It is about a certain perceived togetherness of recording in London or Liverpool as opposed to...Malibu. Or following them from city to city on world tours, wondering if the set list will ever vary (not likely) but very excited when it does. It is about instrumentation and sounds as opposed to wondering how much of a concert is simply "pushing play." It is about the strobe lights of Politik, the confetti of Lovers in Japan, B and C stages, alternate versions, leaks, B-sides, covers, etc...Much of this has been gone, will it return?

no doubt. this could be disaster, no pun intended. Might need to turn off twitter for this one.- [12-Dec-2012] Chris Martin @ 12.12.12 - The Concert For Sandy Relief, Madison Square Garden, New Yor

Was anybody able to get floor seats for this one?- [29-Dec-2012] Coldplay @ Mohegan Sun Arena, Uncasville, CT, USA
floor and lower level tickets are still available. But they are $350 - 600 per ticket. Ridiculous. They are in the platinum seating section- [29-Jul-2012] Coldplay @ TD Garden, Boston, MA, USA
I have two tickets for sale for the Sunday July 29 show in Boston. I got better seats and need to get rid of these. They are in Loge 4, Row 14.- 2012 Ticket Exchange **Updated List in First Post** (EXCHANGE OR FACE VALUE OFFERS ONLY)
Boston July 29 I have two tickets for sale for the Sunday July 29 show in Boston. I got better seats and need to get rid of these. They are in Loge 4, Row 14.- Don't know if anyone else has noticed this...
I was at the Louve last week and stumbled across the painting. Didnt even know it was there...- Ran into Guy at the airport!
Guy takes a pounding on this board, but i do question his interest sometimes and in the "Roadie" book there are several references to his quirkyness and conflicts with CM.- Chris voice live?
That must have been a good day because i always liked this performance as well: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Chh2aT3GBU]YouTube - Coldplay - In My Place live - Jools Holland 2002[/ame] and the dancing is terrific.- how hard is it to learn piano?
I took up the piano two years ago as an adult (self taught) and the guitar one year as an adult (self taught). I have found the piano to be significantly easier that the guitar.- Politik live intro
im pretty sure it is just the chords of the song, alternating back and forth as they do through the entire song. The final chord played before the song starts might be the same as the first chord in the bridge. not for sure on that one though- wedding bells
- Preview of my band's cover of christmas lights
These videos both make me very thankful that Chris Martin is the lead singer for Coldplay.- My piano cover for Christmas Lights
this is very good, nice job. Much better than Adrienna's- "Bad Vibes" in band
I have thought that for a while... While Coldplay is lovely and we all adore their music, it is pretty tame and at times mundane compared to the side project he was in. Almost like he was looking for a stimulation of sorts he doesnt get with the band. From a performance perspective, I wonder if he gets bored. I saw them in Bristow, VA in May 2009 and his bass broke during Viva La Vida. He was pissed and wandered around the stage until a roadie took care of if for him. However, the song didnt miss a beat, you wouldnt even notice a instrument wasnt working. Could you imagine if Will's drum and bell broke on Viva La Vida? Or Jonny's guitar on In My Place? Or Chris' piano on The Scientist?- "Bad Vibes" in band
Sorry if this has been discussed but i tried to sort through all the threads and couldn't find anything. Any speculation or reason behind the "bad vibes" Chris referenced in the radio interview?- Rolling Stone Magazine- The Playlist Issue: Chris Martin
The cute butt in question :) I'm a huge Bruce fan, have seen him 14 times in concert over the last 29 years. I LOVE that he is such a big influence on Chris and I still think the shout-out Chris gave him at the 2009 Grammy's in the middle of Viva la Vida is one of my favorite moments. I had a feeling that if you googled "Poison in my blood" and "Bruce Springsteen lyrics" that something would come up.- Who would agree with me ?
I agree...mainly because they have THE SAME LYRICS :\- Christmas Lights lyrics
I know Chris likes to recycle the same lyric or phrase over and over but I think it is unfortunate that two of the more distinctive lines in Christmas Lights "poison in my blood" and "I always loved you and I always will" were just used in Wedding Bells. Just my two cents. The lyrics from the 60 minutes version were also scrapped.- B/C stage songs for next tour
We were spoiled for almost two years with daily concert reviews, set lists, pictures, etc. As we go through this time period between tours, I'd be interested to hear what songs you think would be good choices as "alternate versions" for the B/C stages for the next tour. Last time we had The Hardest Part and the Talk/GPASUYF remix. What do you think would be a good acoustic or remixed song? Not sure they would want to do the whole confetti thing again, if not, I think Lovers in Japan would be great acoustic. - [12-Dec-2012] Chris Martin @ 12.12.12 - The Concert For Sandy Relief, Madison Square Garden, New Yor
