Windows Live Messenger Problem

Featured Replies

So every time I try to open Windows Live Messenger, the box comes up along the taskbar like I have it open. But when I go to maximize it, it jumps off the screen and I can never log on.

Any idea how I can somehow get it back into the main screen?

so when you hit maximize, the window ends up bigger than the screen?

Could you provide a screendump

No, when I maximize, I don't even see anything.

I could do a screendump but it wouldn't be helpful since you can't see anything.

So when you maximize it, it disappears off your task-bar and in the windoze task manager (Control+Alt+Delete normally brings it up)?

it stays on the task bar, but doesn't come up anywhere visible.

Uninstall , reboot , reinstall .

That's a good idea Rob.

Try downloading the latest version Brigs to see if that helps, it might be that you have got caught on a buggy one

Yeah, it happened with my older version. So I unistalled it. Then I installed the new version and it has the same problem.

Thats on the upstairs computer.

On the basement computer whenever I open up MSN Messenger it makes the internet stop working, and the only way to get a connection again is to restart the whole thing again.

I was able to use the move function. However now Firefox is doing the same thing. Strange.

Sounds like your computer has got some spyware Brigs.
