I'm planning to buy a guitar...but i dont know which one should i go for..

Acoustic Or an Electric one? :\

Depends on if you're a beginner or an expert, what you want to play, what sound you prefer, and how much money you have :)

oh ya!!:surprised:

I'm a beginner..:kid:

looking forward to play Coldplay songs...... :guitarist:

n money is no problem....

Whatever else you decide, you need a Fender. They're the most highly respected brand out there. Also Les Paul. A Stratocaster or Telecaster is always safe for electrics.

So this is your first? I'd usually recommend a good quality acoustic (like a Yamaha) because they're better for rythm and chords which you'd be starting out with. You also don't need an amp and all the cables that go with it. There is nothing wrong with going electric off the back (in which case I'd concur with a fender tele or strat), especially if you plan on using a lot of distortion, but its probably more beneficial to build calluses on the acoustic before hitting up the softer electric strings...instead of the other way around.

^^good advice. Contrary to what might seem logical, it's better to learn the slightly more difficult acoustic first. That way you have proper technique for your electric adventures.

okay! thanks alot guys....

I'll surely go for an acoustic one... (After my exams get over..!!:book2::shifty:) :P

I would recommend a Takamine or Yamaha acoustic. You can find some inexpensive models that are still good quality compared to some brands. But play before you buy! That way you find one that's not hard to push down or feels akward which will frustrate you. Good luck!
