Why did you change your username?

I got bored of my old one.

why the 'when i'm gonna die' ad is making weird not-so-scary noises?

Probably the company who runs whatever the advertisement is for thought it would be a clever way to grab the attention of the internet users, thereby increasing visits to their site and thus making them more money in their own advertising sales.

^False,it's extremely irritating, and would never make me click/or buy anything from them.

Very true, and many probably agree with you. However, advertising companies often make false judgments and end up annoying their potential users rather than attract them.

Why is the thread named Phitz, instead of Fitz?

Why do they always send the poor?

If America has the most laws, are we really the most free?

Why do they always send the poor?

Who sends what poor?

Yes, because you are allowed to challenge the system and ask questions like that.

Hey,you are supposed to answer the questions, not make them!! :dozey:

Yes, because you are allowed to challenge the system and ask questions like that.

You can do that in other places with less laws.

Teachers are always preaching "civil disobedience". If I wanted to sit in my house and (civilly) refuse to pay my taxes, what would they do with me?

It's just civil disobedience.

Okay, they send the poor because the poor need it most.

Put you in jail in America. Which is ironic cuz then you'd be taking up more taxpayer money.

That answer is fail imo.

Do you think it's right/logical for people to go to jail for not paying taxes?

Right is a pretty funny word. I try to avoid it.

It is only logical in our system if it works. Most people fear prison, so they pay their taxes. However, for those who don't, they go to prison and are leeches to the money they didn't pay. Doesn't make much sense that way, but I suppose all in all it is logical since more people pay then don't.

Wait, you're saying it's logical in the sense that it helps the government. What I'm asking you is if you believe not paying taxes is immoral.

Hmm..I don't believe it's immoral. To me immoral means more on the lines of intentionally doing something bad to others for selfish reasons.

It's illegal and I have respect for most laws in our country. It's why I don't drink underage. Do I want to drink? Of course, but the laws are there and however stupid they may be, I still respect them.

Now if it is a law like illegal gay marriage, I will fight it. But something that's not as big of a deal I won't fight.

So, IMO, it depends who you are. I find it very hard to give concrete answers in the right/wrong/moral/immoral sense, especially when it comes to politics.

You just compared laws to morality. :dozey: I'd continue but you say you want no more, so I'll stop :P

Okay. Like I said, I'm very bad with laws/morality/right and wrong. I mean try this:

Define right. Define wrong. In words.

Not easy to do.
