A 40 minute long fan-made film called The Hunt For Gollum premiered on DailyMotion on the 3rd May for free. It tells the tale of Aragorn & Gandalf's struggles to track down Gollum after the events of the Hobbit. The story comes from the appendices of the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

 

The Hunt For Gollum is an unofficial not for profit short film by a group of enthusiast filmmakers. As a Lord of the Rings Fan Film' date=' we are not affiliated with the Tolkien Estate or New Line Cinema and are producing this project as an entirely non commercial film. I haven't watched it yet, but plan to watch later on tonight or over the w/end. It looks quite good; has the look and feel of the Peter Jackson films, the actor playing Aragorn even looks a bit like Viggo.

I know it said that for me to start with but I clicked on a few links on that page and it worked eventually....

 

I guess it's bound to have teething troubles, seeing as they haven't the budget for proper hosting....it'll be available for d/load by the 10th May anyway.
