I learned that even spammers and people who are sometimes mean-spirited can have good intentions. I was trying to make jokes to Ivet, but I ended up hurting her feelings. I bet that for most spammers on this board it is like that. They have good intentions; they may be trying to make people laugh, brighten up peoples day, or just bring a little sarcasm and random humor to a message board. I don't think any of the spammers I've seen on here (including John) are really mean on the inside. Well we're on the subject of him, I think that if we all reach out to John and don't treat him like trash, he will no longer bother us; instead, he will be there to brighten up our day and will become a member of the Coldplaying community. I know that that is what happened to me. So next time you talk with John, try to be extra friendly.

no offense, but i doubt you acted all warm and fuzzy to john. really, no one would. but i would try to be extremely nice unconditionally to John the next few times he comes in the lounge; make him feel welcome. some people lash out at others as a means of getting attention and making friends because they feel they have no other options. maybe if he knows that their is a supportive coldplaying community here, he will no longer spam us.

People always tell me to ignore all the threads for certain groups of people, but when there's spammers, they complain all the time about it instead of ignoring them.

somehow i don't think this is why. people will be their real selves when they are in a place of anonymity. even the pictures you have chosen for your avatar and signature show a type of coldness and despair to them. they can say something about your personality in general.

but please try to do this now. it is for his own good and also for the good of everyone on this website, and when you think about it, everyone in the world. who knows....you may even meet him someday. And wouldn't you want him to be a kind person? Or you may meet someone that he was recently mean to, and they might be mean to you out of frustration or anger. Everything in the world is connected.
