To Know or Not to Know...That's the Question

Featured Replies

Okay, so I've yet to attend a Coldplay show that I didn't already have a pretty good idea what the setlist would be, based on previous shows. With the next leg of the tour starting in a few days, and my show coming up in a little less than a month, should I keep up with the changes in the setlist or go to the show oblivious to the changes they've made to the setlist since last summer??

In other words, do you think it's more fun to go to a show knowing what to expect, or not know and be surprised??

I kinda wanna know, so before the song starts, I can poke my hubby and say " Oooh I bet they play Clocks next" and he will stare like "How do you know this?":laugh3:

I tried to resist from looking at previous setlists, but couldnt help myself. Eventually it turned into a good choice as I found out the band would be running in front of where I was sitting/standing to get to the C-Stage. So I was able to ready myself for my pic of Will, and gave Chris a pat on the back :D

Lucky You:sneaky::)

There are pluses to both. On one hand, surprises are fun. On the other hand, if you know what songs are going to play, you can "prepare" yourself for certain "routines", if you will (like starting Viva's "Ooooohhh..." at the end of Postcards).

That said, I hope they pull some unexpected stuff this summer than surprises everyone.

i've always gone for concerts (incl non-Coldplay bands) not knowing the setlist...just personally like it more when the band plays a song that i love when i was least expecting it
