OMG! i want to live in toronto soooooo bad. whoever lives in toronto. dont take it for granted. it sounds like a FABULOUS place. ok im done venting

oh and another thing before i hit the sack.....torontos definiton or what they consider "the ghetto" is amazing. wow. CLEAN FREAKS (in a good way) ;)

Oh my goodness Amanda, I'm not going to go into this now because it's late BUT PLEASE DO NOT THINK THAT TORONTO IS LIKE THAT. Michael Moore did not represent in Toronto how it really is. So much of that film is completely fake and made up. It is a brilliant documentary, but it is a satire and he did make up and exagerate MANY things to prove his point. Tomorrow I will go into all of the falsities in the film.

But Toronto does rock!

P.S. I do not know ANYONE that leaves their doors unlocked. Maybe if they live in a hicktown uo North, but I don't know anyone in Toronto that leaves their doors unlocked.

oh i know he did! most of the film was false. he used propoganda but i just think toronto rocks. oh wow. almost everyone left thier doors unlocked

i didn't know that a lot of the film wasn't true til many months after i saw it. i felt deceived!

in any case apparently the scene of him opening the front doors of people who live in toronto, wasn't even filmed in toronto and was filmed in NEW YORK CITY. can you believe it?!

for the most part canadians are not as gun crazy as americans, and yes there are tones more murders by guns in the US than in Canada but you have to be careful, this isn't happy land where we all frolic about with our doors unlocked.

but i think bowling for columbine is a very important movie and everyone should see it.

AHAHAHA@ nyc (thinks of phil)

dude....amanda.....nono.... toronto isnt safe

bowling for columbine is a tremendous film...

granted, you have to maintain a balanced viewpoint and think outside what is presented to you and make up your own mind, and as long as one is capable of doing this and looking past moore's sensationalism, it's still very much an eye-opener....

as for toronto, of course, no city could ever be as safe as moore portrayed it to be- after all, most of his funding came from canada! of course in all capitals crime will always be an issue. however, after spending two weeks in toronto, i can honestly say i felt a hell of a lot safer in toronto than i have done in any other major city i've ever been to, kudos, T.O!

stay away from Jane and Finch

AND in BFC when they showed Charleton Heston making that speech one week after the Columbine incident, apparently he didn't make that speech one week after, it was from one year before the Columbine tragedy.

of course i agree with you, and the point moore is making is a valid one just everyone should know both sides :)

i've done some research prior to seeing the film on the NRA and have read transcripts of his speechs and they are scary. especially how he ends off every speech with "my cold dead hands" ( http://www.nrahq.org/transcripts/hestonam.asp )

yeah, michael moore really isn't very good at making accurate films. in fact, he's almost as good as sensationalizing and stretching half-truths as the people who endlessly rail against him.

that said, i can't think of a documentary he's done that i didn't think more people should watch after i saw it. he brings up a lot of good points, it's just a shame he has to lie and mislead to try to prove them, because he sacrifices a lot of credibility, and people who might otherwise take a step back and say "wait a minute, this isn't right" only say "HA! what a big fat liar!"

once again i've managed not to say anything that hasn't been said already.

did you see michael moore at the academy awards!??? he got booed off the stage! it was hilarious!

and is that THE phil that EVERYONE keeps talkin about!??????

so everyone must go rent bowling for columbine!
