On the VH1 Top 20 Countdown this week, the host was saying something about Chris mentioning at the V Festival that their performance there marked "the end of soft rock".

 

What does that mean? Will their next album be less spacy, for lack of a better word, than Parachutes or even AROBTTH?

 

I'm terribly excited about it, though. They'd still be great even if they went into death metal. :lol:

"The End of Soft Rock" doesn't necessarily mean Coldplay will jump to "Hard Rock" or "Metal". I'm sure their music will just become more a rockin' but still have lots of melody but I hope they add a couple of soft rock songs. Gravity HAS to be on the new album.
