Yeah. Speaking of which, I went to Petsmart and they were having a pet adoption day, and they had some of the most adorable dogs! :blush:

Well, some pet shops here do sell dogs, but they're usually treated horribly and are inbred, leading to lots of defects and diseases. :sad:

 

What a lot of large, national corporations like Petsmart do are just host an "Adoption Day" where a few local animal shelters bring dogs and cats to the Petsmart in the hopes of getting a larger crowd/more awareness.

 

It usually works really well, and they give a lot of animals better, loving homes. :nice:

I would love to adopt a dog from a pound or something like that when I am older.

We bought our two dogs from breeders around here.

We took in a stray dog once but we couldn't handle her.

 

So my dad took her to the farmer...a blind one :|

I recently adopted a doggie- she is a Japanese Chin. Pure spoiled lap dog, who now hates me because Liam took her lap place.:dozey: 10 lbs of uselessness.:rolleyes:

So did we, except the breeder was in Virginia because that's where my dog's species originated. :awesome:

 

Stray dogs are tough to take care of. :\
