In Big Brother (which is like a microcosm of the world), Jeff and Russell hated each other the first week. They were totally at each others necks. Even threatening physical violence.

 

Eventually, they realized that the other wasn't so bad. They even formed a friendship and alliance. Which isn't very strong cause Russ is a neurotic douchebag, but at least they're not enemies.
