It has an interesting video, but there are some odd parts.

Like, Chris using the magnify glass, the ending I don't particularly like and also when they're all banging on the piano... I don't hear a piano at that part!?+ :thinking:

 

But, oddly enough, it's one of my favorite videos. :lol:

I loved Violet Hill as soon as I heard it. It's gotta be one of their bests. :)

At first I was a bit turned off by some of the political tones, but I soon began to love the song for its other aspects. Its serene 35-second build-up is strange, but it works. And by golly, do I love the guitar in the song. :D

 

As for the Violet Hill video, I find it pretty average. It's not as boring as VLV's, but it's nothing special.

I do love it now, for some reason the melody kinda reminds me of Ian Brown though, which is a good thing anyway! I could imagine him singing it though.

First time I had it I was waiting for the "Epic Coldplay Ending" that usually comes at the end of pre-viva songs....

 

And when the song ended I was like WTF!

 

But yeah, i kept listening to it and loved it

I hated Violet Hill for months, but then suddenly I loved it. :stunned: It's one of my favorites now.

I really didn't like the song at first but after listening to it so much I grew to love it. After seeing it live I love it even more :D
