40,000 for new teeth!

Featured Replies

Thank you Aaron.

Well modern dental technology has come a long way, the implants are supposed to be very effective. I could go the other route and keep getting fillings and root canals, but I get cavities under filling's and they fall out. I just lost a filling from flossing because of a cavity under the filling. In the long run he said it would be easier to replace the teeth.

Damn, man. I would still get a second opinion. That just sounds really crappy to have to get them all replaced.

My dad has gotten about 4 implants. I myself have my share of tooth problems. I somehow have gotten the gift of 6 wisdom teeth that all have to be removed.

If I had 40,000 extra dollars to burn, I would give at least a portion to you! Sorry about it though!

Seems you are in top form this evening Mark.

Bite you are!!:P

So I went to the dentist today, good and bad news. I have to get a tooth removed and probably replaced with an implant. And then he told my long term prognosis will be to get all my teeth replaced over the next 20 years or so costing around 40,000 at least. So at least I can spread it out over 20 years or so but still, I'll have to get one or two teeth surgically removed each year and replaced, that can't be fun.

He said my teeth are so weak and my immune system is to weak for me to have any other option. :\

:(

Thank you Aaron.

these implants almost sound cheaper than a crown and a root canal... hmmm  people have 32 teeth... so $40,000/32 = $1250... but a root canal and a crown is more like $2500 ... I would have been happy with an implant :disappointed:

that reminds me ... I got spam mail from my DENTIST... MY DENTIST !!! and it was about PANTHERS TICKETS !!! I DONT EVEN LIKE FOOTBALL :bigcry:

/tinyrant

yes... they do... I live in Concord, NC... so... I found out today that they suck lol... someone else was talking about them
