Guitar problem?!

I recorded this cover of A Rush Of Blood To The Head - Live a while ago,

After watching this cover (recorded about 12 months ago) I noticed I'm not getting the same quality sound out of my amp. Maybe it's my guitar? I don't really know. All I know is even though i've got higher quality pedals i.e. Pro Co Rat, Boss Overdrive, Digitech Reverb and Boss Delay, i'm not getting that full sound I got when recording the cover. Maybe it's my hearing, but that full reverb sound I got while using the slide isn't happening anymore.:\

Anyone got any suggestions? Is it the guitar, or maybe the amp. It's a very cheap guitar and I can't really afford anything at the moment.

*Edit*, I also don't seem to be getting the same amount of sustain with my front pick up as I once did with my front pick. I used to just run a clean signal for the slide parts in Trouble outro. (riff tabbed below:

E---12---/7---/12---/7~5---/12---/7---/12---/7~5---

B---12---/7---/12---/7~5---/12---/7---/12---/7~5---

G---12---/7---/12---/7~5---/12---/7---/12---/7~5---

D---12---/7---/12---/7~5---/12---/7---/12---/7~5---

A--------------------------------------------------

E--------------------------------------------------)

However, now even with a small amount of Over-drive (emulating Jonny's MXR) I can't seem to get that nice amount of sustain as to vibrato the sustained notes.

As long it is only sound difference or quality difference it won't be a cable problem.

I think, like the problems you said earlier this day that the guitar is getting old.

But you can always try a better cable.

Broken cables are making weird cracks and noises and some output problems.

But cable quality can change the sound itself.

get new strings!

then turn your reverb up as much as you can, bring a lot distortion to it and use the neck+middle PU

otherwise:

get a 72 telecaster thinline or a telecaster deluxe or a 72 telecaster classic player thinline (or whatever it's called). the differences won't matter that much here...
