We have a holiday today - great for me, no work :D

And we celebrate Halloween since years, for us it's a tradition ;)

Neither had I. Thanks for reminding me about it.

And did you recognise who the backing singer was??

MJ surely!

Nope, I always thought it sounded like him, but was never sure about it.

Cheers for the knowledge!:D

me. :(

my family and relatives usually use the 31st to prepare (cleaning up tombs, buying flowers and candles, etc) for November 1 (all saints day) and November 2 (all souls day)... :D

same here.

dunno. in niedersachsen we don't have many holidays. so living in niedersachsen and not being catholic is holiday-wise not the best combination, heh.

here in my country, even the 2nd is a holiday. :)

i think so, yes.

The catholics have a week more holidays each year in Germany, no kidding.

I don't get it.....I don't even know if I am getting this right now....but, if you are catholic and live in Niedersachsen and the 1st of November is a monday for example you are allowed to stay away from work, because it is a catholic holiday which is actually not a holiday in Niedersachsen.....?:wacky:

The catholic students are allowed to stay away from school on those days ...

How do they find out who are catholics and who are not? :uhoh:

exactly.....wow I have never heard of that....here the schools are closed on those days...and nobody cares if there is a protestant holiday...:wacky:

I'm not celebrating it.

I used to like it when I was younger, even though it isn't "our" holiday. I guess I don't find it interesting anymore.

I'm going to a Halloween party tonight

What as? A witch?

Nope, as a devil. Boring, i know but them two were the only options as everything else was sold out when I got back from work today.
