What kind of school/high school / university you have attended?

I went to a private christian school, and now I go to a public university.

You liked it?

I liked private school.

You think people get different knowledge depending on which kind of school they've been educated?

Yes.

You think it offers you different chances in the future?

Well I think it depends on whether the person puts effort into their future...

You get in different social circles/ambiences depending on that?

Probably...

You would prefer to have attended a different one?

No.

What kind of school/high school / university you have attended?

You liked it?

I am currently in my last year of private school, and I have liked it but from what I have seen from public schools- my school isn't much better! The running of the school is a bit of a mess at the moment but it is a small school and I have had a better chance than many but I'm ready next year to go to a public sixth form (high school)

You think people get different knowledge depending on which kind of school they've been educated?

No. From what I have experienced, Private school teachers are no better than public school teachers.

You think it offers you different chances in the future?

In some way, smaller classes makes it easier to learn/concentrate I guess! My music class consists of just SEVEN PEOPLE.

You get in different social circles/ambiences depending on that?

Yes, yes, yes! I have all my friends from school, but I know lots of people from public schools and for the most part, they are different! My friends from school for the mostpart arn't all posh and everything, like you'd think!

You would prefer to have attended a different one?

Looking back- no! It would have been a different experience, but I am going to public higher education which will be different and I am looking forward to it!

interesting answers, so far i don't see any home schooled coldplayer, i would be interested about that experience (i think some coldplayer mentioned time ago he was home schooled).

What kind of school/high school / university you have attended?

You liked it?

This is my last year of school, i go to private school and it's very religious here since it's also a monastery for Catholic monks, i quite like it but sometimes they are too strict, and we have a lot of subjects to study, i'm in a class called LS(life science) where the focus is mostly on chemistry, biology and physics but i also have arabic and french literature classes, philosophy, history, maths, civics...16 subjects in all and all of them are either in french or english (except arabic of course)this means that you have to master these two languages to pass...

You think people get different knowledge depending on which kind of school they've been educated?

no, i don't think so, the entire country follows one education system set by the state, we study in diffrent higher levels books and have more classes but both private and public school students present at the end of the 12th grade the same offical exams...so i guess it's the same

You think it offers you different chances in the future?

it might but not for everyone, only for the people who actually care and take advantage for the situation they are in

You get in different social circles/ambiences depending on that?

yes, tuition fees are not that high so not everyone at my school are high class posh people, you get to know all sorts of people but in country like Lebanon with all the tension between the difffrent relegions i wish there were more muslims or non christians at my school, to make it easier for us who've never been around different people once we start college or work...

You would prefer to have attended a different one?

no, even though i sometimes get fed up with the work and the rules but i enjoyed it a lot:wink:

What kind of school/high school / university you have attended?

State schools - 6 different ones.

(2 infant, 2 middle, 2 senior)

I moved around a lot... then college, then university. No fees - in fact, I got paid to do the course ;)

You liked it? - I hated school with my life. I loved university though.

You think people get different knowledge depending on which kind of school they've been educated? - Yeah. One of my ex boyfriends went to a private school run by nuns. They never taught him ANY history, it seems.

You think it offers you different chances in the future? - No. I believe if kids are motivated and committed enough, I think that they can achieve whatever they want. Saying that, I probably wouldn't have got any GSCE's if my parents hadn't moved me from my first senior school, let alone graduate from university and actually get a job. That's not a state/private discussion though, I only ever went to those rough common schools :P

You get in different social circles/ambiences depending on that? - No. The people I met at school were pretty much standard teenagers :D I tell you what though. My boyfriend was pretty much standard too, considering his run-by-nuns-in-a-small-house/private education. The kids from the private schools down here terrify the hell out of me. One of my friends won a scholarship to a private school. She was expelled for drugs ;)

You would prefer to have attended a different one? - No... my random childhood made me who I am today, so I'm pretty cool with the interruptedness of it all ;)

I was homeschooled from kindergarten through 7th grade.

This is going to be quick because i should be sleeping now but oh well:

What kind of school/high school / university you have attended? Both public.

You liked it? Yeah

You think people get different knowledge depending on which kind of school they've been educated? Here, most of them are public so I'll say it matters which city you live in and which school you're going to.

You think it offers you different chances in the future? Nnnot really. What matters are acquaintances you obtain.

You get in different social circles/ambiences depending on that? No.

You would prefer to have attended a different one? I even didn't have much choice so it'd be the same difference.

here it's a hell of a difference

I went to private elmentary (although it was barely a private school, it was very small and never developed very much but at least I learned english and music), then I went to public junior high and high school, the education is way lower and the people well there's a little bit off everything.

I just started private college, one of the best in mexico (so it's very expensive and I got scholarship and I come form small town to big city with a lot of rich people) and it's incredibly different. In my home town in high school I was like the genius and one of the few speaking english, now I come here and there are guys with larger knowledge and who speak more than 2 languages so I feel I can barely keep up.

Nonetheless I don't regret being in a public high, it was very fun, I got free time to enjoy my youth hahaha and I met good friends and my girlfriend, who I love very much.
