Well not really, it's cool.

But you end up being lazy.

I decided to take a gap year to go to the UK and my parents didn't want me to go. I found a job there (and I'm from mainland Europe so the flight wasn't expensive for me) so I went anyway! I haven't been back very often since. :laugh3:

You will have money for travelling over Europe, but not for uni? Anyway, I suggest you to find a job no matter what happens with your uni applications. If you don't need it now, it doesn't mean you won't need it later on. :)

 

And also - your parents probably worry about you, especially if you're planning to fly over to Europe alone. But eventually they'll start to live with the idea of you travelling so they'll let you go. I'm 90% sure of that since it has happened to me (though it wasn't about flying across the ocean).
