Covering LITii?

Featured Replies

Hey all.

I was wondering if anyone could help me

Me and my band want to cover LITii. We've got the backing track...

I just need tabs...and lots of them!

first off, I'll be playing my acoustic, so I'll need chords to the song (I don't think A and F#m are the only chords in the entire song)

I'll need bass tabs for my (rubbish) bassist, he can only read tabs...

Drum tabs for my (amazing) drummer. I wonder where they could be?

And the guitar tabs for Jonny's part. I know I need delay, reverb and high Treble, but is there anything more?

Thanks a bunch in advance...:D

coldplaykb made a good chord tab for Chris's part of the song and I know it's correct, hopefully you can find it.

ok first of all:

PLEASE (and now i mean everyone) - STOP OPENING NEW THREADS ABOUT THE SAME STUFF ALL OVER AGAIN!

phew... ok, you'll find the guitar parts as well as the bass here on coldplaying in the instrument room - OPEN your eyes!

and if your drummer was just a tiny little bit talented, he'd know what to play anyway... i mean, come on, LIT is not that hard to hear (/tab by ear) !

all you need is here on coldplaying already!

he can post whatever he wants even if it is already posted. give him a break and stop being so harsh to everyone on here.

i don't wanna be rude, but hey, does nobody see how many new threads are just popping up about the same topics? you definitely find a lot, if you'd only use the search function... i think that's something we all need to learn sooner or later... i've also been told to use the search a few times ago...

sorry for having a little hyperventilated over that....

so don't be peeved, k?...

acoustic:

chords (in general):

Intro- A

Verse- F#m - D - A (1st time play only the A, half of the verse, then continue normal)

verse last time/leading to chorus/chorus last time: F#m - D - A - G#m - F#m - Esus4 - E - A

Chorus- F#m - D - C#m

you can play this in standard tune but also EADGC#C# (6 to 1)

use the thumb on the e string;

A: 5-7-7-6-0-0

F#m: 2-4-4-2-0-0

D: 10-12-12-11-0-0

G#m: 4-6-6-4-0-0

Esus4: 0-2-2-2-0-0

E: 0-2-2-1-0-0

C#m: 9-11-11-9-0-0

electric: the intro is pretty hard, find out yourself! (if you cannot, then i'd do some tremolopicking with a lot reverb on the C#, D, E and A notes = 14, 15, 17 & 10 on b string)

afterwards, you'd have to play the powerchords according to the actual chords with some soft crunch, also pretty quiet, not too loud...

bass: as stephanbass said, in his thread ( http://coldplaying.com/forum/showpost.php?p=3261112&postcount=95 ) you'll find the correct tab

drums are quite easy... i'm not experienced in writing drum tabs (quite annoying after some time :D ), so i'd better not, BUT your drummer shouldn't have any problems finding them out, they really are not hard to play

About the electric, the ending is the solo part, Jonny plays the dulcimer on the guitar.

It's very easy to find that by ear.

I've also posted a drumsheet in another thread. Can't remember exactly where but you can try to search it.

The drumpart is not perfect correct.

Hey thanks for this.

And gees! I'm soooooo sorry for posting a thread that I needed fast!

I was very short on time, so I couldn't search for it!

But, thanks to the people who gave me help on this!
