  1. sing. mobile phone or landline?
  2. About 120 gigs...I need to stop getting music, it's not right.
  3. Man that's brilliant! I love your voice, sounds like Alex Turner! The guitar's a bit out of tune though, but the sound's fantastic, what software was used? I think the lyrics are just superb, top notch effort!
  4. There's absolutely nothing on it anywhere, I'd be surprised if it was legitimate.
  5. Princess of China might not be. That whole thing with "oh Rihanna wouldn't do a song which was just an album track!!!!!!1!1111!!!!!!! trolololololololololol, etc..." is not always the case. Think of Snoop Dogg on Plastic Beach by Gorillaz, that song wasn't a single was it? Yet Rhinestone Eyes was a single.
  6. Yes to this post!!! I never got it with Moving To Mars. It's really the one song from this era that does nothing for me. It comes across as almost bland. And I don't think it would have fit that well on the album, I don't see it. I don't understand the constant hype about people wishing it was on the album.
  7. Yeah if you look closely they're different in the slightest. But about 40 seconds in, does anyone else hear something which sounds just like the last 10 seconds of MMIX or the first few of Every Teardrop? SUBLIMINAL COLDPLAY MESSAGING I SAY.
  8. I think it could have gone further, I was left slightly cold when I first heard it, but it's still an amazing song.
  9. If Moving To Mars was on MX, MX would be crap.
  10. When I read the title of the thread I felt like replying "Well, I seriously do not care" but after seeing the picture, very nice job!
  11. No. It is not lifted from another song. End of argument.
  12. I'm just presenting my opinion man, and that's yours. I prefer the studio version to the live version, I think there's more energy in the intro. And yeah I love the naked version of Let It Be but the strings add a whole new level to the song in the original version. It wasn't over produced, you're just saying what Paul McCartney said!! :L
  13. I love this one, the best, the synths, lyrics, riff everything pretty much. I don't like how she sings the guitar line at the beginning, I think it was an unnecessary addition to it.
  14. I honestly boked when I read this thread title. In my eyes (if anyone has seen, I've said this many times) there is no such thing as "overproduced". The production is done to what the band thinks is right. If it was overproduced, they'd be spending not only a whole lot of time, but they'd add things and change it to the point where the song sounds crap and that it sounds like a completely different song. Now I know what you're saying, in the sense that it sounds like a chart topper. Well apart form the fact I really don't care, I think it just sounds polished, refined, crisp, well thought out and above all, different. The synthesisers sound fabulous, so does the drums and everything, it's by far my favourite from the album. The song has not changed at all, the sound neither, it's just the same as it was during the festival run of this summer, it fits perfectly with the album, and I'd hate to see it in the style of Parachutes or something.
  15. I really like this cover! You guys are really good, I listened to the other stuff you've got up and it's all really good. Yeah the solo was different, but it's very nice.
  16. THIS. Although I quite like the chorus...but Videotape is a hell load better than Up In Flames.
  17. Even without ETIAW it's still a nice song, a bit on the similar lines as Treefingers by Radiohead from Kid A, just a little ambient piece as an interlude. I love it, I'd love to hear an extended version, I'd just listen to that alone, same with A Hopeful Transmission! :L
  18. I don't see it. I can kinda see where you're coming from, but I don't see any similarities.
  19. It might not. These fit the feel of the song perfectly. The whole album's got a sort of processed / electronic feel to it and these pretty much emphasise it even more, plus you can do a lot more with midi drums, like the extended reverb they did and the little subtle hi-hat in the 2nd verse (which sounds like hitting a pot with plastic or something).
  20. I highly doubt their setlist will greatly differ from those from the summer festival shows. I think they'll add Up In Flames and Don't Let It Break Your Heart (maybe) to the permanent setlist. I also don't think there'll be any Lovers In Japan, A Rush Of Blood or anything like that, they'll only focus on singles (I know LIJ was one) from previous albums and tracks from this album. I'd say a 23 song set at about max.
  21. I honestly don't see them going straight back to acoustic or stripped down or even "under produced" songs straight after this album, or even at all, cause I think they've found their place, this big sound is what coldplay in my eyes should be. They won't go back to a basic sound at all I think.
  22. Side 1 - Side A Side 2 - Side B Simple and minimalistic.
  23. I love all their b sides. AROBTH I think had the best ones (and the most!), like Crests of Waves!!!
