Many people have it, if you have it there's no problem, there are treatments.

it use to be inherited mum-son, dad-daughter.

just be healthy.

I don't, but my best friend did and well, he's gone now.So young...:disappointed:

I wish you the best of luck, Nick.

Supposedly it runs in my family. My late uncle had it. I've been lucky enough so far to not encounter it. Good luck at your testing, Nick.

Nope... my grandma does, though.

There are 2 different types of diabetes.

Type I (used to be called Juvenile Diabetes but the name was changed because adults can get it too)

Type II (used to be called Adult-Onset but the name was changed because kids can get it.

If you get Type II, it can sometimes be fully controlled by diet, weight management & exercise (i.e. lifestyle choices).

With Type I, besides being careful about lifestyle, you must also take insulin shots.

Either way, untreated, it will cause all kinds of serious problems. However, it's a smart person's disease because if you are smart & disciplined, it can be controlled. One has to be very careful not to fall into the trap that it's a common OK disease. For an OK disease, it kills a lot of people (if untreated).

Good luck.
