Chris Martin lauded the contribution of his strike partner Grant Holt as Norwich continue their climb up League One.

The Canaries now have the top two of Leeds and Charlton in their sights and Martin and Holt are wreaking havoc.

The 20-year-old has bagged five goals this term but admits playing alongside Holt, who is the club’s leading scorer with nine league goals so far, is a terrific learning curve.

"He gives a 100 per cent every game, he's good to play with and learn from, hopefully I'll learn as much as I can from him," he told BBC Radio Norfolk.

"The positions he gets himself in, and how many goals he scores as well, it's massive for us, and for the team.

"I think he's on 12 in all competitions already, that's been a massive help for us and obviously he played a big part in us winning this game (against Stockport).

“We always fancy ourselves to score goals with the attacking force that we've got, and I think we're confident coming into every game.

"But we definitely didn't play our best at the weekend, we showed that when we're not playing well we stick together, get around each other and put in a battling performance.

"We can't rely on other teams to slip up; we have to keep winning games ourselves."
