Guest howyousawtheworld
I'm not talking about your blockbusters like Titanic or your Jurassic Parks, I'm talking about the movies that are little gems that have a small, or even a large following which weren't mainstream. Personally I go for one that turned into a big cult years after it had been released and is a hit amongst mostly all film critics. It was called Withnail and I, and was about two unemployed actors who take up the opportunity to go on holiday to a cottage in the Lake District, and turns out to be a disastrous holiday. If you know Richard E Grant then this was in fact his first acting role. 96% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, even though it took me a couple of times to really know what the fuss was about - I thought it was sheer brilliance! What about you lot?

HorrificAttack
Withnail and I is ludicrously popular. What next on your list The Big Lebowski? V is for Vendetta is also a MASSIVE film. Garden State was such a contrived movie, it tried so hard to be indie that it just felt like it was ramming it down your throat. For me, I watched Synecdoche, New York last night, it's not immensely well known and popular but it scores high with critics and it is absolutely amazing. I love these types of films though, I can't be bothered to list them all.

I know too many people who don't what I'm talking about when I mention the film.
