I borrowed Catcher from a classmate then the first day I read it, I got bored. I never read it again. When I returned it to her after few weeks, little did she know....

It's a personal thing, that's the whole point of it, if you don't like it you're not going to understand why the people who love it do, that happens with a lot of things, this is just another of them.

 

I personally love the book so much.

 

BUT I hate the idea that is all Salinger is known for, his short stories are much better, if you really hated Holden that much please read "Nine Stories" it's literally 9 short stories and they are for the most part brilliant.
