Bono: Chris is an extraordinary singer and talent!

This is taken from an article with Bono from the above address:

"Bono also appealed to Coldplay singer Chris Martin to follow in his footsteps on the political scene, suggesting he needed all the support he could get in taking on world leaders.

"As regards shaking politicians' hands, shaking the tree or, in fact, climbing the tree and pulling the f*cking apples off with my bare hands if I have to, that's also me.

"But it's me doing a job I shouldn't have to - I feel somebody else should. Chris Martin from Coldplay is very good at that. He's a fan of U2 but he's taken on the fair trade thing. He's an extraordinary singer and talent.

"I'm not handing on the baton but I'm giving him another one and he can run very fast and I believe in him."

I always knew Bono was a genius :D :D ;)

On a less positive note; Heat called Chris sulky and humourless in this weeks mag   I mean he may get sulky sometimes but he is not humourless - you only have to look at the quotes page to see that!!

And although this is about Gwynnie I thought I'd include it 'cos it's funny. Chris helped Gwyneth's mum organise Gwyns birthday party and the balloons said 'Hizzle B'dizzle Qwvmizzle' on them, I never knew they were fans of Snoop :D

lol fizzle on me dizzle yo........lol i watch 2 much MTV lol

and its kewl that Bono backs up Chris tis nice 2 see old rockers enjoying new rockers music and talent hehe....i want a Hizzle B`dizzle Kirkzizzle balloon lol

I can just see it....Bono passing the white flag on to Chris at a concert....

Well, Chris has already climbed the scaffolding at a concert, so he's halfway there.

I can't remember which song, but I have an mp3 at home of Chris and Bono performing together in concert. I want to say that the mp3 is of Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On."

Cheers for the article Mimi! :D But we all already knew Chris was an extraordinary singer and talent :wink3:

Chris would be thrilled to hear that! Especially since it's coming from Bono!

Chris does seem to be like the gracious, humble sort.

Wow! Bono said that? What a compliment!

Bono certainly got it right about Chris being an extraodinary talent.

I love the song that they did together-'What's Going on?' is class.

:D

IMHO Bono is god incarnate.... or pretty close to it anyway

I reckon that Coldplay really do have the chance to be the next U2, the band with universal appeal who are hard to hate and easy to love and stay around forever making records and living happily ever after ...

All that Chris needs is a pair shades  a giant lemon and an audience with the pope! Um yeah or something like that! :D
