How to eat a pomegranate?

Featured Replies

Ok, I need an instruction.

I wanted to try something new today and bought a pomegranate and then I tried to eat it and it was annoying as hell and then I threw it away.

Yeah, that's my story.

Ok, so what is the meaning of a pomegranate?

Oh look how comfortable and innocent the pomegranat looks between its pomegranate pips looks....

that yellow bit between the pips tasted bitter and since I was fighting with it my face was rather pink-red afterwards....

(and I spent € 2,50 on it)

"Pomegranate" how stupid can a name be?

Now that I am at the end of my post I realise that I don't want to know how to eat a pomegranate, because I will never buy one again:snobby:

What are your experiences with pomegranates?

I've never eaten a pomegranate. :uhoh: But kiwis are annoying too. :|

You just eat the seeds, I think, with a spoon or something

I've had pomegranates before but it's been a while.

I tried to eat one on holiday and I didn't see the appeal either :P

I spose it smells and looks nice... but upon eating it's just very mehhh

I love pomegranates:heart:

but people have always given them to me already prepared

You cut them in half and whack the back of it with a wooden spoon over a bowl so the pip thingys fall in to it.

And then you cut it and whack it again if needed.

Then you eat them, not the yellow part? :uhoh: I have never eaten that.

granadas  I've only eaten pomegranates once.

I'd never pay € 2,50 for a fruit :blank:

yep! granadas! we have a pomegranate tree in our house in Mexico.

I love them

This thread has reminded me that i still need to see what a dragon fruit tastes like

I can't work out if it would taste nice or not :uhoh:

I've eaten pomegranates a few times and I usually cut them in half and then use a spoon to scrape out the goodies. It's tasty in smoothies and on cheesecakes too yum :awesome:. I like to eat the tiny fruits or whatever they're called and like pop them when I chew them :uhoh:

:disappointed:

I didn't eat the yellow part on purpose, but sometimes it happened that it was between the pips and it was in my mouth and it was eeeeewwwwwww (I had to spit it out twice:wacky:)

I had eaten it before....that was two weeks ago....but my best friend's boyfriend prepared it

haha well.....I thought of the pomegranate I had eaten two weeks ago and I wanted to eat it again and then there was only one supermarket which is close to our shop and they are ridiculously expensive

what is most annoying is that I threw it away, but I was SO annoyed by that stupid pomogranato

Our english teacher gave us pomegranate once cause we were studying a poem called Pomegranate.

He had no idea how to prepare it either.

Yeah, I've had them before. You eat the little red seedlike thingies. They're nice and watery inside. :wacky:

That sounds delicious. I do know that pomegranate combined with other fruits in flavored water is quite tasty.
