a lame, petty and off topic question but I'd appreciate any advice, especially if you've also experienced this.

i ordered some books from amazon, with ups delivering here in the states. i was super pumped about these books so i even doled out the extra cash so they'd get here today.

well, the books didn't show up today. no that big a deal, right?

Well no. Besides paying the extra cash, the tracking numbers on both amazon and ups say that the books were delivered this afternoon, which is bullshit.

I got home about an after the said package was supposedly delivered, so surely it couldn't have been swiped in that short amount of time...

I know it's been less than 24 hours, but I'm annoyed and pissed off with UPS. How long whould I wait before contacting them and the sellers?

Contact UPS immediately with your tracking number. It's happened in the past, that packages can be mis-delivered, or accidentally scanned as delivered. Then call Amazon asap. They should ship you new books immediately and at no extra charge.

Unfortunately, they could have also easily been stolen from your doorstep. Happens every days. But you're not just "out" your purchase. UPS will send drivers to knock on doors, retrace steps, etc... Amazon will likely split the loss with UPS.

For future reference, the faster you call after realizing something like the has happened, the better. UPS can follow up faster and Amazon can resend faster. If theft appears to be the case, you can also notify your local police.

No no no- no need to involve the :policeman:....

I'll give it back as soon as I finish up this chapter :book2::baby:

Some thug is probably using it for toilet paper- think of that.
