You may also post your own top 15 of all the songs mentioned in those two top 15's, so we can see which songs people prefer the most out of them. And also a top 15 of your favourites without restrictions. I'd be grateful if you did this to settle a discussion haha.

I'll get some youtube playlists for people who don't know some of the songs, or you can just look them up yourselves.

I can't properly respond yet because I want to know

WHERE THE EFF IS 'ELEANOR RIGBY'

Nothing outside of those top 15 can be discussed as we don't want to influence other peoples opinion, but you may include it in your list.

It doesn't matter either way.

Anyone fancy doing a top 15 of the ones mentioned in both top 15's?

A, because Hey Bulldog, And Your Bird Can Sing, and Norwegian Wood are three of my very favorites

My list would probably be something like this:

1. Hey Bulldog

2. And Your Bird Can Sing

3. Norwegian Wood

4. Happiness Is A Warm Gun

5. Strawberry Fields Forever

6. Revolution

7. Mean Mr. Mustard

8. Martha My Dear

9. Helter Skelter

10. Come Together

11. Eleanor Rigby

12. The End

13. While My Guitar Gently Weeps

14. She Said She Said

15. Fixing A Hole

1 - In My Life

2 - Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight

3 - Get Back

4 - The Fool On The Hill

5 - She's Leaving Home

6 - A Day In The Life

7 - Across The Universe

8 - Hey Bulldog

9 - She Loves You

10 - Can't Buy Me Love

11 - Hello, Goodbye

12 - While My Guitar Gently Weeps

13 - Here Comes The Sun

14 - Ob La Di Ob La Da

15 - Please Please Me

That's my 15. Will probably completely change by tomorrow.

Hardly any Beatlemania period songs in the lists so far as well. Shameful.

I need to have a sit-down and have a good run-though listening to them. Hope to vote tomorrow night.

I'm still miffed that 'Eleanor Rigby' isn't on the list though. Seriously, whut duh fuh.

^ just did :)

ok guys....I might be one of the few people (if not the only one hahaha) on here who are not into the Beatles (who never really got into them)

I checked out both lists and I voted list B, because it sounded more interesting, probably because I like psychedelic music in general. Well, I still couldn't manage to get into the band though I might check out some of their albums

I am afraid of saying what I think of the band right at this point, because it is always a bad thing to say something bad about the Beatles (and I wouldn't even be criticising them, I'd just be saying what I don't like about them)...I just can't be bothered to get into a discussion with all of you...it'd be me against the forum haahah

I pretty much respect them for what they have done though....how they used so many different genres and how they influenced many other musicians

I just don't get into them "emotionally"...they don't do anything to me I can't help it

Hmmm.

Okay so I listened to List A. My initial reaction was 'I think List B will be better'.

Then I listened to List B. Conclusion: List A is better. *slightly*

Ideally I'd swap out a few songs from List B, but as a whole I'd have to go with A.

The Ballad of John and Yoko

Continuing a conversation from the Listening Party thread...

No mine should be winning

List Carrie

but that's not an option :shifty:

and what would that top 15 consist of?

As requested, in no particular order (this is a hybrid of A and B with some other songs thrown in, the best I could do in a few minutes' time)...

Real Love

Ballad of John and Yoko

Paperback Writer

Nowhere Man

Norwegian Wood

The Long & Winding Road

A Day in the Life

In My Life

Come Together

While My Guitar Gently Weeps

Eleanor Rigby

She Loves You

I Saw Her Standing There

Let It Be

Good Day Sunshine

If I had a few hours to listen to every song this top 15 list might be a little different, but I think this is pretty close.

^excellent choices except for Eleanor Rigby... so tired of that song.

Also Good Day Sunshine is good, but I can only take in small doses, and Let it Be is a little bit overplayed
