I have a problem since a few days with my computer.

My windows seem too big for my screen so when I'm on facebook, I can't go on the chat cuz my taskbar (I hope this is the good word in english) is hidding it. And when someone is connecting on msn, it doesn't show up under my taskbar anymore, so I don't understand what's going on.

Also when I'm on Photoshop or VLC, my taskbar just disapears. :blank:

Please help me. :disappointed:

There's an option that hides the taskbar automatically when you don't need it. Maybe you have activated it? If not, try rightclick on it on the right side where your little symbols are and go on properties and check if the taskbar shows all the symbols and is not hiding anything (sorry if this sounds confsuing, my english gets bad when I'm trying to explain technical stuff!)

Nah I desactivate this option so that's not it.

I don't see anything about symbols and stuff in the properties.

I'm on Windows 7 by the way.

Windows 7 :freak:

I'm sorry, I should have asked that before. I only use XP because Windows 7 annoys me the

FUCK.

OUT. :shame:

Have you tried searching the interwebs for that problem?

Yeah of course, I went on a lot of websites before ending here.

Coldplayers are my last chance now. :disappointed:

Wait, I just read your first sentence again: Your windows seems to big. Like, your actual windows you're closing/opening or your screen resolution?

My actual windows i'm closing/opening. It's just the down of the windows, I can't get online on facebook, that kinda stuff.

Try changing your screen resolution or the size of your windows (if that's still possible in Windows 7 :dozey:)

Otherwise, I can't help you that much because, as I said, I'm using XP :(

have you tried moving the taskbar to another side of the desktop? (eg, top, right side, left side).

have you installed some new software? it may had changed some settings on your computer.

that said i'm using linux at times windows vista.

i had windows 7, and it was a pain (at least for netbook), as it didn't allow me to change the resolution to allow the menus to show properly -it doesn't allow access to click on the down button of accept/cancel), so solution i took there was simply to install linux there.

I tried but everything is normal. But when I tape "Fn" and "F7" nothing happens. :\

That's okay, thank you so much for trying.

Yeah I tried that too!

Yeah I think it's because I install a new software recently but I deleted it and now how can I do to fix the settings?

Nah I'm using Windows 7 since the first day I had my computer. Never changed it for XP, vista or linux.

Here:

The facebook chat is gone:scaled.php?server=851&filename=printscreen1.png&res=medium

The taskbar doesn't appear when i'm using Photoshop:scaled.php?server=148&filename=photoshopprintscreen.png&res=medium

VLC toolbar is kinda hidden because of my taskbar: scaled.php?server=88&filename=vlcprintscreen.png&res=medium

And the msn window is not under the taskbar anymore:scaled.php?server=840&filename=msnprintscreen.png&res=medium

and you can't try to make the taskbar slimmer?

msn uses a window in the taskbar now, and there goes the convo windows people open btw.

can't you try to change the taskbar into classic appeareance? it sure shall make it slimmer and shall fix the problem, though.

I tried to make it slimmer but nothing changed.

I searched for classic appearance but didn't find it!

And for msn I know the thing, it's just that before, when someone gets online, it was appearing under the taskbar not on it!

I really don't know, that's super weird. :anxious:

Does your task bar have some sort of "lock" thing? Right click on an empty space of the taskbar and see if there's anything that you can change that might make it move to the side, even.
