My favorite radio station is Absolute Radio but it's in London. I see they have a DAB radio station and this thread is to ask two questions:

 

1) Anyone think the DAB signal would be able to make it across the Atlantic Ocean to my home.

 

2) If I were to buy a DAB+ radio, would I be able to listen to a regular DAB cast (absolutely sure Absolute Radio broadcasts DAB only, not DAB+)?

Don't know about the DAB signals here, but you have no interest in just streaming Absolute? Can do it from their site or use their app.

Well, I already stream them through both but the app for iPhone doesn't make a difference for me since I have an iPod Touch... I mean I would like to listen even though I'm out of a WiFi area.

Nope, I can't see a digital radio signal travelling thousands of miles to America from Londontown.

Well, I didn't know how DAB works if it's like FM Radio or if it goes through satellites like XM or Sirius.

I believe it's like FM which is transmitted from a tower, most likely in the London area
