Meh, the only place we actually stopped was the Botanical Gardens (which were actually pretty cool) because we were on the way to Hannibal.

Fun fact: Mizzou's campus is a registered botanical garden. The only college campus in the world with said designation. It's sooooo pretty :dazzled:

Y U NO APPLY 4 COLLEGE THERE

What state is Hannibal in?

..or are you talking about the movie?

Missouri DUHHHH

Mark Twain hung around there a long time ago. It's where the Tom Sawyer house with the white picket fence is. Nice little town.

^ I'm assuming that means "bye"

See ya!

My family would disown me if I went there :P

I NO RITE :awesome:

I'm trying for an Ivy League school or Johns Hopkins.

I applied to several (Brown, Harvard, Yale, Cornell). It's really not worth the cost. Consider them for grad school.

There are plenty of better schools, too, that aren't in the Ivy League (IL is more of a regional distinction than a "OMG THESE SCHOOLS ARE AWESOME" category). Be sure to try for Stanford, Washington University in STL, U Chicago, etc.

I know this wasn't addressed to me, but I agree :P There's a college just a few miles from me that has an excellent pre-med program, for example, and it's about as far from the Ivy League as you can get.

I mean, Cornell and Dartmouth and stuff are not really much better than Mizzou/KU/etc are. To be frank.

My dad went to the University of Chicago, actually. He's a PhD with a degree in physics, so I have no doubt about how great it is. I might get some sort of small scholarship for being a child of a student, but I'm not sure.

Exactly. It's just their 'label' that makes people think that they are better.
