32" LCD TV went pop?

Featured Replies

So earlier today, I was just listening to music on my PS3 (coldplay, would you believe :p ) and there was an almighty bang and my tv died. It's not even a month old, but it's just a basic thing from Sainsbury's.

My plan was to return it tomorrow for an exchange, but now I'm thinking should I just take the refund and buy a decent branded TV? Anyone have any tips? I've just had a quick squint on the CeX website and found a decent 42" TV for just 10 pounds more than the E-motion brand one I'm returning, but is it worth buying one from CeX online?

Any help is well and truly appreciated! :D

Never heard of either brand, I'd go Panasonic or Samsung.

The supermarket brands are sometimes the same as the big name brands, built in the same factory by the same workers, the only difference is a little badge on the front.

I believe you, but my Toshiba is nearing 11 years and my panasonic just closed 5 without any problems. My work bought several no-names from WalMart about three years ago, maybe two still work? I know the brand product duplication happens, but I still think you get what you pay for.
