2 TICKETS MAXIMUM!!

Featured Replies

So I managed to buy two rounds of two seated tickets yesterday only to be told by ticketmaster this morning that they have cancelled one of the orders as its strictly two tickets per person. BOLLOX!!

I got another two luckily this morning on the general sale but now I'm worried they will do the same. Does anyone know if the limit is for both pre-sale and general sale. Ive been waiting years to see Coldplay live and I really want to go with their biggest fan ever, my mum. At the moment to go with my wife and my mum I need three tickets.

This two limit deal really sucks. 4 would have been so much more kind.

I realise they have to try and make it fair so everyone gets a better chance of seeing them but two tickets max, cmon guys!!

I hear you Phil.

We ordered with 3 different accounts, 3 different names, but on the same adress. It would be crap if they would cancel it because it really is for 3 different people :p We can't help it that we live in the same adress, right ?

please can you tell me the exact time of your purchases? thanks, I did'n get tickets and I'm trying to understand why:shocked2:

I purchased them yesterday in the pre-pre-sale. We were all on other computers

edit: sorry, quoted the wrong person :) i wanted to quote the topicstarter

are you in holland? I find it sick that they do that. As if it would make any difference if you go to your neighbour and use his internet/computer/ account whatever. Its nothing else than a childish action..

Another question: did they cancel your second 2 ordered tickets or first?

I think its not a problem, at the pre-sale off the berlin tickets i bought 2 with *chris* and 2 with *christoph* and the same address… Yesterday i got the mail that the tickets are on the way…

I think it's absolutely shocking.

The touts have still obviously got all the tickets they wanted. The people penalised are:

- The sick/disabled who need more than one helper

- People with children (if you're responsible you cannot take children who are even old enough to attend the gig if there is only one parent guaranteed to look after them at any point - it's too risky)

- People who wish to attend with more than one friend

The winners are:

- Ticketmaster. No sales of three meant they sold out the tickets in record time. (Try selling every single odd fourth-tier ticket in a minute).

- The touts (both in advance and outside the arena on the night). They clearly got a huge percentage of the tickets anyway, while real fans couldn't get them. It's much easier for them to deal with them in guaranteed 'twos' rather than have to deal with the odd one or threes that come from genuine fans who bought in good faith and then had to sell their tickets, or the odd spare, (and are often glad to do so just at face value).

- The promoters.

- The band (though I'm sure they personally didn't know what was happening, they have still got a record sell-out gig and more publicity. And their team must have okayed this method of sale).

I'm disgusted.

^ Normally I'm all for free-market behavior, but there's just something viscerally wrong about all of this.

I wonder how many tickets were allocated for the presale versus the general sale.

Have you heard anything back from ticketmaster? my account is still showing that i have 4 tickets from the presale and general sale.

Hope everyone got there tickets. All 4 of mine have arrived all safe :-) cant wait for the gig now

My friends got there tickets as well, so everything went smoothly. We ordered them over this Konzert tickets site and also asked if they will be sent soon. I'm really happy that they were sent, because now we can go to the Coldplay concert and really rock there. I think that we will have a great party there.
