Why have they shortened the playlist?

I think the gigs in the stadiums will be longer.

That's the way it was last tour, so probably.

As Roadie 42 reported that they played some old songs and one from the Viva era, I think it's pretty obivous that they add maybe two songs to the setlist for the stadium shows.

Maybe something like this...

Mylo Xyloto

Hurts Like Heaven

In My Place

Major Minus

Lovers In Japan

The Scientist

Yellow

Violet Hill

God Put A Smile Upon Your Face

---- B-Stage----

Princess Of China

Up In Flames

Warning Sign

--------------------

Don't Let It Break Your Heart

Viva La Vida

Charlie Brown

Paradise

---- C-Stage (Acoustic)---

Us Against The World

Speed of Sound

-------------------------------

Yes

Amsterdam or Politik

---- Encore------------------

Clocks

Fix You

Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall

The European summer shows will be interesting with their late summer sunsets. I know that during U2's 360 and Vertigo Tours, the late sunsets had the band starting their set in pretty much broad daylight.

Again though, those expecations are personal, and no one can say with certainty if it will be "worth it" to someone else. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, just that it's hard to put a universal set of expectations on something like this. What's worth the money to me, may not be worth it to you. By all means, have whatever expecations you want, just keep in mind they're your expectations.

As I've said before, anyone who posts here should have a real clear idea of what a Coldplay show is like (many of the critisisms have been longstanding) and factor that infomation in when deciding if it's worth it, to them, to buy tickets.

But usually, people buy a ticket because they want to see a band they love, live. It isn't until the concert is over that they feel short changed as they expected a longer show.

Over £200 for a night out for 2 people is expensive in anyone's book and you implying "if you don't like it, don't buy a ticket" is a bit dismissive.

Yeah mentioned this in another thread. The Xylobands won't be as spectacular as it'll be still light in June until around 10:30pm.

I had thought about that as well. But the bonus is that you will see them as the sun goes down, no?

I saw them in Glasgow in early July and it was still spectacular and was dark late on. It doesn't overly concern me.
