I went to the Emirates stadium on Monday the 4th of June and lined up from 1PM on my own but I got front row at the X stage so it was all worth it. I loved the show and it was the best night of my life by far! After the concert I went up to a roadie and asked if they had anything they could give me, after a few minutes he returned with a drumstick that had snapped in Viva La Vida, I had a huge grin on my face! It was the best night of my life and that is why Coldplay are the best band in the world!

Lucky! I wanted to hang around too but my annoying sister was nagging me to go and catch the train. That must have made your night!

I know :D I was so happy! The smile has not faded! Ah that sucks :/ I'm going to ask at every concert I go to now

how long did you stick around for. I'm going to the Atlanta show in July and would love to get something cool like that.

also how do you know who to ask?

I did actually see the drumstick snap!

Wow thats amazing :o

I'm going to see them in Manchester on Saturday coming :D so might give this a try and see if I get any result from it!

Drummers get though a lot of sticks in live shows, well done for getting one :)

Wait, so it was one of the mallets with the beater?

Will's not actually much of a stick breaker, or a stick thrower either. I think the VLV mallets break a lot more though, you can see him break the mallets in a lot of live clips.

Where were the roadies?

The roadies were just at the front clearing up the stage and packing away the equipment at the end of the show, it's worth a shout!

You have a better chance of getting their attention if you call them by name. The three main backline techs are Hoppy, Matt and Bash, they are usually the ones who give out stuff to fans. There are pictures of all the main crew in the roadies thread, if you want to indentify them before you go.

I just said "Excuse me mate, have you got anything from the stage that I could have please? Like a guitar pick?"
