  1. So recently I've had 'Ink' on repeat and have been entranced by that riff Jonny is playing in the background. I just picked up my guitar and had a go at tabbing it by ear real quick, and here is what I got... Bare in mind I'm a drummer and have been for 7 years, I only picked up the guitar recently and even then have put little to no time into it. 2. Not a huge fan of KT, but she's coming to my Uni on Monday. If I get in to the masterclass (meaning if I'm free), are there any specific questions you'd like me to ask for you?
  3. [ame= ] [/ame] Just released.
  4. No, considering it was a joke on a tv show designed to entertain by making you laugh.
  5. Matt Helders of Arctic Monkeys anyone? Very underrated drummer! Incredible speed and power in order to play killer fills. [ame= ] [/ame] [ame= ] [/ame] Also demonstrates that less is indeed more, by holding back on certain to give them that certain feel. [ame= ] [/ame] His name isn't thrown around that much when it comes to discussions regarding drummers, which I find strange. I myself am a drummer, and find him to be a huge influence in my playing.
  6. It's definitely a cut and paste job, you can hear the ambient sounds in the background from the original. It sounds alright though I guess.
  7. I've not listened to Coldplay properly in months, and this video was enough to make me fall in love with the music again. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYzg8r8P5QE]A Celebration of Life: Coldplay's 'Viva la Vida' - YouTube[/ame] All credit to the uploader of course. Amazing.
  8. I'm assuming the best kept secret in question would be a recipe as it's a restaurant. But your theory is a nice way to look at it.
  9. Dawes - Stories Don't End It isn't out just yet but its release is in the next few weeks.
  10. He uses a pickup in his acoustic too, here's a post I found on the pickup and his sound. http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showpost.php?p=5274418&postcount=2 When it comes to his pedals, I really don't know much about Chris' gear, sorry.
  11. Their sound has really changed throughout the years, they've matured. The first album was fantastic and so was the second. So I'd give them a listen. The most recent album was good as well, although there are a few songs I haven't really listened to on it. The same with Humbug. They're a solid band who've released some great stuff. I don't think you'll be too disappointed.
  12. If you play the music from your laptop with headphones (which does look like they'll reach) then I don't think you'll have that problem. Record yourself sitting back down and turning on the music, timing would be fine then. All you'd need to do from there is slice that first part of the video out (where you sit down) and timing of the song over the video shouldn't be that much of an issue.
  13. If you're having trouble with hearing the music then maybe you should listen to your headphones. Record the song that way and then put the mp3 over the video at a volume in which we can hear both the song itself and your drumming. EDIT: This actually seems like a problem in a lot of the videos. Don't get me wrong you sound great, I just can't hear the songs very well.
  14. That's a necropost if I've ever seen one, but a good one nonetheless.
  15. The guitarist for Pendulum (an amazing band who have now split unfortunately) was holding a Q&A session. I sent him a tweet, here's how it went.
  16. Major Minus What would people like to become through exercise?
  17. I saw Mumford & Sons in December, they are fantastic live! I don't know if Dawes will be supporting them throughout Europe, but if they are they're also fantastic. If you're going to see Mumford & Sons, you should definitely keep your eye out for Dawes too!
  18. A Message It's really hot here, I might just go __ __ ______
  19. Warning Sign? I made a new friend today, what's his name?
  20. I love the ending of Politik too, but I also love the endings to Lovers in Japan (Jonny's guitar work) and Life in Technicolor. They're all great.
  21. 42 Where in Eastern Asia could I take my girlfriend?
  22. I'm well thank you, yourself?
  23. I still can't comprehend the ending. What just happened?
